"Our scholars have learned so much about tolerance, humanity and sensitivity since participating in the Tolerance Education Program. The presentations, historical and artistic displays provided each of our scholars an opportunity to become educated about the Holocaust and other societal injustices in a way that can not be matched by a textbook or any other multi-media presentation.
"Our girls have continued to talk about how moved they were after hearing first-hand accounts from concentration camp survivors. This experience has certainly taught them how to quickly identify and respond to prejudice and inhumanity in a socially responsible way. We have visited the center two years in a row, and I recommend this field trip for any one who works with students or youth who are still impressionable, so they can see and hear how uncontrolled hatred and apathy can be destructive to individuals, communities and humankind as a whole."
